About Dr. Eric J. Nelson

Dr. Eric J. Nelson is a board-certified physician in Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology who joined Northside Heart in 2018. He is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts and completed additional training in medicine as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Nelson also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine and has co-authored multiple publications in various scientific fields.

Dr. Nelson brings over a decade of experience, and prior to joining Northside Heart, served patients in the Canton, Johns Creek, and Blue Ridge communities. He has clinical interests in atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation, and congestive heart failure. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.
