The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is Georgia's largest cancer network and one of the largest community cancer networks in the nation.
Northside Heart, in partnership with the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute, developed a Cardio-Oncology Program devoted exclusively to the management of cardiovascular complications in cancer patients. With the development of cancer treatments and the dramatically improved survival rates, we recognize the importance of this close collaboration. We use state-of-the-art technology and expertise in cardiac imaging to help identify pathophysiologic changes in the cardiovascular system. We are then able to classify at-risk patients and recommend preventative measures to decrease cardiovascular complications during and after cancer therapy.
