An Atlanta native, Dr. Azar received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Dean’s list graduate. He subsequently graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency and served on the medical faculty. Dr. Azar completed both his cardiovascular and interventional fellowships at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His interests are in invasive and interventional cardiology.
